Pramod Saxena is the Founder & Managing Director of Oxigen Services (India) Pvt. Ltd.
Oxigen, a company that has fast grown into one-stop online payment solution for various services, using an IT enabled platform that connects over 75,000 customer touch points. These customer touch points are growing fast and will reach 2, 50,000 over the next two years.
Oxigen has a number of innovative products like Oxicash, which is an innovative payment mechanism and has evolved into an E Wallet accessible from PCs and Handheld devices with GPRS connectivity and over simple SMS as well.
A Chemical Engineer from IIT Roorkee,,in a career spanning 30 years, Pramod has worked in various capacities and was largely associated with Essar Group, DCM Group and Motorola. His rich and varied experience spans Telecom, Steel, Petro Chemicals & & the Fertilizer industries where he has held responsibilities for acquisitions and mergers, setting up green field projects, joint ventures and managing business operations.
He has been associated with the Essar Group in various capacities as a part of their Senior Management team, overseeing some of its strategic business initiatives in the areas of Telecom and BPO including the largest of it’s time in India, USD 1.1 Bn acquisition of BPL Mobile's operations across multiple circles.
Pramod was the CEO of Essar Group's Telecom Business (1994-98)) and was responsible for many business expansions of the Group. Under his stewardship, he led Essar's foray into Telecom including a joint venture with Swisscom and Hutchison. He was responsible for Essar acquiring and building the mobile networks for Delhi, UP, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab as also a fixed lines’ license for Punjab.
He was President for Motorola Inc. (1998 – 2004 for Continental India).As the General Manager & Executive Director, Asia Pacific Global Telecom Solutions Sector, Motorola India, he shepherded Motorola into becoming the leading cellular (GSM & CDMA) infrastructure provider.
He is on the Advisory Board of Lemko Corp.,a Chicago based Telecom Technology Company engaged in development of ‘next generation’ technology for low cost mobile networks targeted at rural and low density areas.
Having been involved with the Telecom industry for over 15 years, he brings a strong understanding of the industry, Indian players and the operators as well as technology and equipment supplier. His other major accomplishments for Essar group include setting up of a 4 million ton integrated Iron-ore pellet complex, Essar’s acquisition of 30% equity stake in ILVA (Italian Steel Co - third largest in Europe) through a USD 1.0 Bn LBO deal, and 100% equity acquisition & financing of a textile mill in Mauritius and the turnaround of a large BPO business operation in the USA, among others.
Sanjiv Lamba
Sanjiv Lamba is the Director of Oxigen Services (India) Private Limited. He has been associated with the Continental Group since 1980. His vision and mission has given structured to the modern Indian Furniture industry. Under the new economy, he has spread the Continental Group’s operations across the country in creating infrastructure for the Telecom industry.
He added new dimensions to the Continental Group, by exporting to various countries worldwide and implemented projects in the erstwhile Soviet Union. On the national front, he took the company expertise to specialized areas like switching centers for Telecom, installed an in-house research and development cell and has commissioned Shreshid Interiors Pvt. Ltd. exclusively to showcase Line A - Interior Solution Providers.
Sanjiv Lamba, born on 18th January 1961 has been involved with the Continental Group for more than two decades now. He holds a first class degree in B. Com Honours from Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University in 1982. He has completed his schooling from Modern School, Delhi in the year 1979 and was always a topped in his class.
Patrick Donka
Patrick Donka is Senior Director, Business Development in the Start-up Business Group at Microsoft Corporation. He began his career at Microsoft in 1997 as Controller for the Consumer Platforms Division. This division was responsible for Windows CE, which would eventually become Windows Mobile as well as other advanced technologies. In 1999, he joined Microsoft’s Corporate Development team where he was responsible for investments and acquisitions to support key Microsoft businesses such as Windows Media, Windows Server and MSN.
Since 2002, he has been in various business development roles within Microsoft’s product teams managing a portfolio of strategic investments as well as developing strategies to drive business growth. He has served as a Board Member of Wireless Knowledge a joint venture between Microsoft Corporation and Qualcomm.
Patrick has a Master’s of Management in Finance and Marketing from Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Purdue University.
Hemant Sachdev
Hemant Sachdev is the Joint Managing Director ,Microsoft India Private Limited . He heads the Consumer and Online Businesses at Microsoft India that is focused on all the consumer offerings from Microsoft. In his current role, he drives synergies across the windows platform and leads the consumer business and operations across products like Windows 7, Windows Live, Windows Phone, Bing, MSN and other online services. Hemant has over 20 years of experience in managing business operations, retail and strategic marketing.
In his last assignment as Group Director of the Bharti Group, Hemant was part of the Chairman’s apex team and led the strategic process of driving revenue growth, market & brand leadership for Bharti Airtel. He has been a part of the initial core team that built Bharti and Airtel into the great corporate and consumer brands that they are today. Hemant has also been behind some of the most innovative marketing campaigns for Airtel, the most recent being - ‘Lifetime Prepaid’. This innovation changed the course of the Indian telecom industry and led to unprecedented growth for Bharti and volume growth in the mobile market.
Prior to Bharti, Hemant led a retail operation and had successful stints as business head in McCann Erickson and Foote Cone & Belding, where he partnered with global companies across sectors like telecom, retail, media, entertainment and communication. Some of his significant recognitions include Marketing Professional of the Year (2002), India’s Achievers and Leadership Award for Excellence (2004), Best Marketing Strategy of the year – Retail (2004), India’s Top Marketing Director Award (2006), amongst others.
Hemant is a commerce graduate and has attended global management programs like the “Leadership at the Peak” at CCL, USA.
Mark Levy
Mark is the co-founder and Joint Chief Executive Officer of Blue Label Telecoms Ltd. He graduated with a B.Compt degree from UNISA in 1993. After initially taking up a position as a commodity trader in South Africa, Mark decided to pursue his goal of becoming an entrepreneur in earnest and has spent the past several years spearheading Blue Label Telecoms’ impressive growth in South Africa and its international expansion.
Together with his brother Brett Levy, Mark recently won the ABSA Jewish Business Achiever Non-Listed Company Award (2007). Mark was recently nominated as an Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur SA Finalist for 2007. Mark was born in 1971.
Brett Levy
Brett is the co-founder and Joint Chief Executive Officer of Blue Label Telecoms Ltd, a company incorporated in South African and listed on the JSE Limited. He has an impressive entrepreneurial history having founded and operated a number of small businesses in South Africa, from the early 1990's. During his career, Brett has been involved in a wide range of industries, including the distribution of fast moving consumer goods and insurance replacements for electronic goods.
His business achievements have seen him secure a number of prestigious nominations and awards, including the ABSA Bank Jewish Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2003) and more recently, the ABSA Jewish Business Achiever Non-Listed Company Award (2007), which he won jointly with his brother Mark Levy.
Brett was nominated as an Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur SA Finalist for 2007.Brett was born in 1975.
David Rivkind
David commenced his articles at Papilsky Hurwitz and in 1999 he joined Merrill Lynch International (UK) as a financial controller. David was employed by Credit Suisse for a brief period before his return to South Africa in 2002. On his return David became the Financial Director at Integr8IT (Proprietary) Limited prior to his appointment as the Chief Financial Officer for Blue Label Investments where he contributed significantly to the rapid growth of the Blue Label Telecoms Group. David is a member of SAICA.
